SRINAGAR: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget 2026-27 in the Lok Sabha tomorrow, marking her ninth consecutive Budget presentation since taking office in 2019. Following the Lok Sabha presentation, a copy of the Budget will be tabled in the Rajya Sabha.
The Budget documents will be made available on the official Mobile App and website after the Finance Minister’s speech. Post-presentation, Sitharaman will interact with around thirty college students from across the country.
Ahead of the Budget, the Finance Minister held consultations with stakeholders, including economists, trade unions, and representatives from the education, health, MSME, trade, industry, financial, and capital market sectors. Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also conducted extensive consultations on agriculture and rural development and submitted recommendations to the Finance Minister.
Inputs from citizens, including youth, were also collected through multiple platforms and will be reflected in the 2026-27 Budget. This will be the third Budget of the Narendra Modi government in its third term.
