Fire broke out in the Babe Demb area of the city Monday afternoon resulting in the damage to dozens of homes in the slum area.
The fire started in the broad day and as long as till the emergency service was called and it reached the spot, dozens of homes were destroyed in the slum area.
“There are a number of temporary homes located in the slum area and the said homes caught the fire one after the other very quickly,” an eyewitness told Kashmir Life.
