SRINAGAR: A fire broke out at a guesthouse near Dal Gate in Srinagar district of central Kashmir on Saturday morning, damaging the property and injuring one civilian.
According to officials, the blaze erupted in the guesthouse, prompting an immediate response from fire and emergency services. Several fire tenders were rushed to the spot to contain the flames.
After sustained firefighting efforts, the fire was brought under control. During the operation, a civilian sustained injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital, where his condition was stated to be stable.
Officials said cooling operations were continuing, while the exact cause of the fire is being investigated.
