SRINAGAR: A residential house was partially damaged in a fire incident at Bunpora Dangerpora Sopore on Friday morning, officials said.
The house belonging to Mohd Shafi Parra, son of Ab Jabbar Parra, caught fire reportedly due to a short circuit, as per initial reports.
Fire and Emergency Service Sopore teams, along with the Department Officer Warpora and local volunteers of Dangerpora, immediately swung into action to douse the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby houses.
Naib Tehsildar Duroo Sopore, Ab Rasheed Sofi, also reached the spot to oversee rescue efforts.
Officials said the situation was brought under control after timely intervention, though the house suffered partial damage. (JKNS)
