Fire Damages Two Houses, Cowshed; Three Injured Road Mishaps

SRINAGAR

Two residential houses and a cowshed were damaged in two fire incidents in Pattan and Kaloosa area of Baramulla and Bandipora districts, respectively, on Sunday night.

Fire broke out at Dangerpora Pattan in District Baramulla in which two joint residential houses were damaged, a police statement said on Monday evening.

In Kaloosa, fire surfaced around 1 am in the cowshed belonging to Mohammad Yaseen Shah of Mir Mohallah, Kaloosa, locals said.

After the timely action by the locals and later by fire brigade, fire was brought under control.

Meanwhile, the police statement added that three persons were injured in two different road accidents in Srinagar and Kulgam.

An unknown Tata Sumo hit a motorcycle near JVC Bemina in Srinagar resulting in injuries to motorcyclist and the pillion mate. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.

In South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, an unknown motorcycle hit and injured a lady identified as Mehmooda Bano, wife of Ghulam Hassan Mir, resident of Wangam Devsar at Pahloo of the district.

The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
