SRINAGAR: A two-storey building housing Madrasa Maseeh-ul-Uloom was destroyed in a fire in the remote Mahoo area of Khari tehsil in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district on Friday afternoon, according to reports.
The fire broke out at around 3.30 pm, with local residents suspecting an electrical short circuit as the cause.
Residents said a fire tender was dispatched from Banihal, but the blaze had consumed the entire building by the time the vehicle reached the site.
