Fire shots spread panic in the Gulshan Nagar area of Nowgam Thursday morning. Preliminary reports suggest that gunmen fired upon Border Security Forces (BSF) vehicle who in retaliation too fired upon the gunmen.
Sources said that 03 BSF men were wounded in the incident. They added that one of them is critical. Locals told Kashmir Life that search operation has been launched in the area.
“The area has been cordoned and a hunt has been started to find out the gunmen who fired upon BSF party,” police sources said.
Locals said that army, BSF, CRPF and SOG are busy in the search operation.
