Police have withdrawn FIRs against 176 youth from Ganderbal district of central Kashmir under the Amnesty scheme recently announced by the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday.
This was revealed during an interaction session titled ‘A New Beginning’ (NAYA AAGAZ) held at Mini Secretariat Ganderbal.
The session was presided over by SSP Ganderbal Fayaz Ahmad Lone, ADDC Ganderbal, ASP Ganderbal, Senior citizens and UDAAN project coordination.
During the session, SSP Ganderbal advised the benefitted youngsters to take full advantage of the amnesty scheme and begin a new life as peaceful citizens.
“We are initiating a skill development programme under UDAAN scheme where youngsters will be imparted with skill training to shape their future in a better way,” SSP said.
He also assured them that the district Police will co-operate as well as provide them with the medium through which they can earn their livelihoods.
