Aiming to create awareness of heart-related ailments due to the sedentary lifestyle, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company (BAGICL) has launched a 3-day health camp under its country-wide campaign of “Dil Ko Dhadakne Do” for J&K Bank employees at the auditorium of Corporate Headquarters.

J&K Bank Chairman and CEO Parvez Ahmed inaugurated the camp in presence of BAGICL Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Milind Chaudhary, Zonal Head North (BAGICL) Aijaz Ahmad Khan, Bank’s Executive Presidents S S Sehgal and Vagesh Chander besides senior management and other officials of the bank and Bajaj Allianz.

Expressing gratitude to Bajaj Allianz, Parvez Ahmed stressed upon the need to create a balance between employees’ work and lifestyle.

“This is one of the best events I have ever chaired, for the issue of employee well-being always remains close to my heart and soul. And we know that the competitive and stressful job conditions make it difficult for us to look after our health as we hardly get time to undertake regular medical check-ups.”

“I thank Bajaj for this great goodwill gesture as such initiatives will help our staff to evaluate their health and heighten their sense of health awareness thereby leading them to healthy and peaceful life”, he added.

Highlighting the strong relationship between J&K Bank and BAGICL, Parvez Ahmed complemented the latter for their exemplary role in settling the claims of 2014 deluge to the tune of around Rs 1200 Cr thereby helping to revive the economy of state post floods.

“BAGICL has proved to be a tested, trustworthy partner for J&K Bank. The swift settlement of insurance claims to the tune of Rs 1200 Cr after 2014 floods helped in revival and rehabilitation of affected traders, individuals to a great extent”, he said.

“This health camp organized by them for J&K Bank employees shall further strengthen the time-tested  relationship between the two organizations,” he added.

Meanwhile, he urged the Bajaj Allianz to extend the scope of these medical check-ups to the bank’s Zonal Offices and other branches in the state, which was readily agreed upon the BAGICL representatives.

Earlier, speaking on the occasion, CFO BAGICL Milind Chaudhary said, “Nowadays our lifestyle is contributing to our ill-being at an alarming rate particularly among working class leading to various ailments which are life threating at times. Health issues like abnormal Blood Pressure, heart ailments, diabetes are found to be affecting individuals even in age group of 30’s which is a serious cause of concern. With such initiatives, we intend to make colleagues working with our partner companies aware of their personal health and urge them to maintain the healthy life standard in order to lead a normal, healthy life”.

He urged the audience to register and avail the benefits of medical camp set-up right at their work place. The launching ceremony ended with a vote of thanks presented by Head Branding BAGICL Monika Mayur.

During the camp, various tests including BMI, BP, BSL R, HbA1C, Cholesterol, Triglycerides, LDL, VLDL, HDL and ECG were conducted by the doctors and technicians engaged by the BAGICL from reputed medical institutes of the country. A Fitness zone has also been created for cross fit exercise including battle rope, tyre exercise, hurdles & fitness ladder to assess the fitness levels of employees.

Notably, a similar three day health camp shall be conducted at Zonal Office Central 1 Jammu from December 27.
