Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chairperson, Muhammad Yasin Malik Monday said that “first our dear ones are killed, and then stage dramas of inquiries and after some months clean chit is given to killers”.

Malik was addressing people at Zainakote are in outskirts where he visited family of slain Gowhar Nazir Dar.

“He was brutally killed by Indian forces and so-called rulers are desperately trying to save his killers,” Malik alleged while speaking at the condolence and prayers meeting held at Mazar-i-Shuhada Zainakote, HMT.

Gowhar was killed in forces action on November 07. He was an engineering student studying Computer Sciences.

“A promising and bright student of engineering was killed in cold blood by Indian forces in broad day light but rulers instead of arresting and penalizing his killers have yet again staged a drama of inquiry to save his killers,” Malik said while paying tributes to Gowhar.

“On 18th April 2015, a young boy Suhail Ahmad Sofi was brutally killed by police and forces at Narbal in same circumstances. An inquiry was immediately called to divert attention of people and save the killers. Today after eight months killers have been provided a clean chit and firing any bullet has even been denied. This is the reality of these so-called inquiries and the sole purpose of these inquiries is only safeguarding the killers,” he added, “first these oppressors kill our loved ones and then call for inquiries and after some months provide a clean chit to killers.”

Malik said, “Kashmiris have no faith in so-called rulers and their inquiries. Tyrant and oppressive measures taken by so-called rulers cannot budge resilient nation of Kashmir and despite all these atrocities our resistance and struggle for freedom will continue. People especially youth present on the occasion raised slogans in favour of freedom and martyrs.”

JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik has also facilitated senior photojournalist Jenab Mukhtar Khan for winning Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar award. While appreciating the hard work and journalistic efforts of Mukhtar Khan, JKLF chairman said that he has made Kashmiris proud.
