Police on Saturday said it have arrested five persons including three girls from City outskirts last night in suspicious circumstances.
Police sources told GNS that five persons were arrested from Rawathpora Bund in Baghat Barzulla area. They identified two persons as Abdul Majeed of Shalteng and Ghulam Muhammad of Chadoora in Budgam district.
Two arrested girls hail from Batamaloo while another from Chadoora, sources said. Police have registered a case under FIR number 33/2015 under section 294 RPC.
Meanwhile, locals have hailed police action and expressed hope that police would continue such actions in the future as well.
