In a tragic fire incident, at least five shops and a house was completely gutted in a devastating fire at Mulchhiter area of Sigdi in Chatroo sub division some 45 kms from Kishtwar late Thursday night.
Fire broke out in one of the shops at around 8 pm and engulfed the adjoining shops and the residential house.
After noticing the flames, people rushed out of their homes and informed the local police.
Police party from police station Chatroo led by SHO Inayat Hussain rushed to the spot and joined the rescue operation.
Locals said that a cylinder blast also took place inside one of the shops as a result of which massive damages took place. They said that after two hour long operation, the fire was brought under control.
