SRINAGAR: At least seven persons including five women were referred to District Hospital (DH) Handwara for treatment after they consumed forest herbs.

Quoting officials, KNO reported that five women and two men were brought to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Kralpora on Monday evening after developing some health complications.

“Soon after being brought to SDH Kralpora, they were attended by a team of senior doctors and other para-medical staff. They were given the required medical attention,” the official said, adding that all of them belong to Manzchatar Chowkibal in the Kupwara district.

The official also said that they had consumed some forest herbs following which they developed health-related complications.

They have been referred to District Hospital Handwara for further advanced treatment, the official added.
