The flash floods have increased the water levels in Nallah Vashaw.

Locals said that the the flas floods led to an increase in the level of water.

Reports reaching from the South Kashmir district of Kulgam said that due to the increase in water level as many as 15 families were trapped in flood waters.

The families got trapped in the flood waters in Laisoo-Guddar village of Dumhal Hanjipora area of the district. The flash floods damaged several houses in the area, reports added.

Water level has increased in Jhelum river and other nallahs of the district following incessant rains since late last night.

On the other hand the Irrigation and Flood Control department while giving the details of water level in Jhelum said the statuts remains GREEN.

The gauge reading at 11 am (1100 hrs) on July 12, 2015.

Sangam = 10.40 ft

Ram Munshibagh = 12.40 ft

Asham = 10.00 ft
