Srinagar: Forces on Saturday fired several shots in air to break up protests in Heff village of Shopian district after the lifting of cordon.
Witnesses said that forces fired in air to disperse protesters who had gathered in Heff village.
They alleged that forces damaged several houses during the clashes.
Several youth were injured in the clashes with one youth sustaining bullet injury in his hand, reports said.
