Family members and relatives of mother-daughter duo of Nambal, Islamabad, who were found dead following their disapperance under mysterious circumstances, protested in Press enclave, Srinagar today alleging that “the duo have been murdered.”

The family members alleged district police and the investigating officers are not taking the case seriously.

They also alleged that the main accused, Bashir Ahmad Shah, husband of Afrooza, “is using his influence sabotage the investigation.”

They raised slogans against District Administration and SHO Mattan, for not taking the matter seriously.

“I called Afroza on her phone but there was no response. Then I called her husband who told me, she is busy with work,” said G N Mir, a relative. “And when I asked about his daughter Zaira, he said that she is sleeping right now.”

The relatives also claimed that Afrooza’s in-laws were demanding dowry from her.

They demanded that the case should be taken seriously and investigated properly.
