Forces on Wednesday launched a cordon-and-search operation at Garoora village of Chittibandey village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

Reports said that a joint team of army’s 20 Grenadiers unit, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation at Dar Mohalla locality of Garoora in Bandipora.

Police sources said that operation was launched following the inputs about the movement of suspected militants.

“All entry and exit points of the area have been sealed and door to door searches are going on,” sources said.
