Forces on Tuesday launched a cordon-and-search operation at Kuta Sathri village of Sumlar in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

Reports said that a joint team of army’s 14 RR unit, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation at Sumlar village of Bandipora.

Police sources said that operation was launched following the inputs about the movement of suspected militants.

“All entry and exit points of the area have been sealed and door to door searches are going on,” sources said.
