The counter- insurgent forces on Thursday morning launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Qazigund area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Reports said that a joint team of army, Special Operations Group (SOG) of Police and CRPF has launched the operation in Hergam Nussuu and Dar Mohalla Bonigam areas following specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
They added that a large number of troops have been deployed in the area and door to door search operation was conducted.
