Government forces on Monday morning launched a cordon and search operation in Berthipora village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Reports said that a joint team of army’s 44 RR, SOG, and Central Reserve Police Force laid a siege around Berthipora village following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
An eyewitness said that searches in the area were going on when this report was filed.
