A half day shutdown was observed in Leh on Monday following a call given by Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA) for pressing their demand of Union Territory for Ladakh.

Reports said a large number of people took out a protest march from LBA office to Polo ground today, to press the government for their long pending demand of Union Territory for Ladakh.

All shops and other business establishments remained closed while public transport remained off the roads.

Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA) had called for a half-day shutdown in Leh to activate people from across the Buddhist dominated areas for pressing their demand of UT.
