Following the credible inputs about the presence of militant hideouts, a mixed contingent of government forces launched a cordon-and-search- operation (CASO) in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday.
Reports said that government forces jointly including the army, SOG and CRPF surrounded around the orchards in Heff Shirmal village of the district. Forces have also launched a search operation in the area following the inputs about the presence of militant hideouts.
Earlier, several militants were killed after the militant hideouts were busted by the government forces mostly in south Kashmir parts.
