Government forces on Friday laid a siege to Amberpora Tarzoo area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Official sources said that acting on a tip-off about the presence of militants in the village, a mixed contingent of government forces including Army’s 52RR, Police and paramilitary troopers laid and siege to Amberpora Tarzoo.
Reports said that a large number of troops have been deployed in the area and door to door search operation was going on when last reports came in.
