SRINAGAR
Forces on Thursday evening cordoned off Hajin area of district Bandipora and conducted searches as they suspected the presence of some militants inside the area.
An official said that 13 Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operation Group of Jammu and Kashmir police cordoned off the Banger Mohalla and Wahab-Parray Mohalla of Hanjin village after receiving the presence of the militants in the village.
Reports said that militants are believed to be trapped inside the CASO but the area is under siege and there was no exchange of gunfire when this report was being filed.
