Government forces on Monday launched a cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) in Herman village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
The CASO was launched by a joint team of Rashtriya Rifles, Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police and Central Reserve Police (CRPF) after receiving the specific inputs about the presence of militants in the village.
Soon after the CASO, minor clashes were also reported from the village, reports claimed.
