While terming the action of forces on unarmed and innocent civilians in Pulwama as “barbaric” and “unjustified” Jama’at-e-Islami (JeI) J&K Wednesday put across its anguish over the brutality by “Indian Army” in Pulwama.

Jama’at-e-Islami in a statement issued here said police flexed its muscles and used its arms against unarmed people who were protesting and demanding the body of slain militant Shakir Ahmad of Bandina who achieved “martyrdom in a gunfight” with armed forces in Naina, Pulwama.

The Jama’at Spokesperson while paying tributes to slain militant said “youngsters like Shakir have made pledge with Allah that they will give their lives in lieu of Jannat”.

“Our youth are laying their lives for the resolution of Kashmir issue which is the long standing dispute in the history of world. Till India will not shun its rigid stand on Kashmir, uncertainty never shuts down. It has become an attitude of government forces that they left no stone unturned to kill innocents and in fresh attempt one more casualty of a civilian Parvez Ahmad Guroo of Naina took place,” the spokesperson said.

“Forces on one hand claimed of adopting Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) while dealing with volatile situation but on the other hand Pulwama like situation shows brutal face of their claims,” the statement added.

Jama’at expressed sympathy with the families of the slain youth and urged people of Jammu and Kashmir to “remain firm in its stand and safeguard these sacrifices” which are given for the establishment of “Islamic rule” and for the “freedom”.

Meanwhile Jama’at condemns the attack on Peshawar University by anti-Pakistan forces which left scores of people dead. “Pakistan has an important role in Muslim world and anti-Islamic and anti-Pakistan forces have left no stone unturned to destabilize that country,” the spokesperson of Jama’at said.
