SRINAGAR: Several landmines exploded on Friday after a forest fire broke out near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, Excelsior reported.
The fire erupted in the Krishna Ghati sector and spread across a large mountainous area near the LoC. As it advanced, multiple landmines planted along the border exploded, the sources said.
There were no reports of injury or loss of life.
Personnel from the Army, forest department, and local residents are working to control and extinguish the fire.
