SRINAGAR: Formal orders issued were issued on Thursday, 30th April for the dismissal of Dr. Abdul Barl Naik, an assistant professor of geography at Government Degree College for Women, Udhampur.
As per Government Order No.399-3K(GAD) of 2021, the order issued reads,
“WHEREAS, the Lieutenant Governor is satisfied after considering the facts and circumstances of the case and on the basis of the information available that the activities of Dr. Abdul Barl Naik, Assistant Professor, Geography, Government Degree College, Women, Udhampur are such as to warrant his dismissal from service;
AND WHEREAS, the Lieutenant Governor is satisfied under sub-clause (c) of the proviso to clause (2) of Article 311 of the Constitution of India that in the interest of the security of the State, it is not expedient to hold an enquiry in the case of Dr. Abdul Bari Naik, Assistant Professor, Geography, Government Degree College, Women, Udhampur.
Accordingly, the Lieutenant Governor hereby dismisses Dr. Abdul Bari Naik, Assistant Professor, Geography, Government Degree College, Women, Udhampur from service, with immediate effect.
