Former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Shafqat Ali Watali on Friday has joined National Conference in presence of the party president Dr Farooq Abdullah.
Watali a former Inspector General Of Police rank officer had retired from his job on January 31.
NC Vice President Omar Abdullah and other senior leaders were also present on the occasion.
While confirming the news JKNC took to Twitter and wrote: “Former IGP Shafqat Ali Watali (IPS) was welcomed into J&K National Conference by party President Dr. Farooq Abdullah today at his Srinagar residence. Party vice president Mr. @OmarAbdullah, GS Sagar Sb, PP @nasirsogami, party functionaries were also present.”
