SRINAGAR: Seven people were apprehended on Friday for allegedly kidnapping former Sarpanch Varinder Singh, known as Bantu, in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district.
Reports said that Bantu was rescued in an injured state and hospitalized. Bantu was forcefully taken at gunpoint by six people in a Mahindra Scorpio car from Chann Rorian village.
The arrested people include Kamaldeep Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Rajbir Singh, Yogeshwar Singh, Vikram Singh, Daljeet Singh, and Vinod Sharma. ”A seized pistol was found in their possession,” an official sad.
