At least four soldiers were trapped in two separate incidents of snow avalanches near the Line of Control in north Kashmir’s Kupwara and Baramulla districts.
Reports said that a snow avalanche hit an Army post in Tangdhar area of Kupwara district on Tuesday afternoon where at least two army men were trapped.
They said that in another incident, Army patrol was hit by an avalanche in Dawar area of Gurez sector of Bandipora district where two army men were trapped.
An official said that an operation has been launched to rescue the soldiers.
