SRINAGAR: The Ladakh administration has promoted four Assistant Executive Engineers (Civil) as Executive Engineers (Civil) in the Public Health Engineering/Irrigation and Flood Control (PHE/I&FC) Department on a regular basis.
The promotions were ordered by the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh on the recommendation of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) under Order No. 101-LA(PHE/I and FC) of 2026, dated September 4, 2026.
The promoted officers are Ghulam Hussain, with effect from June 1, 2026; Phurbu Sandup, with effect from June 30, 2026; Tsering Phunchok, with effect from June 30, 2026; and Mohammad Sadiq, with effect from July 1, 2026.
Tsering Phunchok had retired on June 30, 2026, the order stated.
The officers have been promoted to the post of Executive Engineer (Civil), Group ‘A’, Gazetted, in Level-11 of the pay matrix, carrying a pay scale of Rs 67,700–Rs 2,08,700.
The promotions and regularisation will remain subject to the outcome of any writ petitions pending before competent courts, the order said.
Their pay and allowances will be fixed under Fundamental Rule 22 (FR-22). The administration has further directed that all four officers will continue at their present places of posting until further orders.
