Srinagar police on Friday has arrested four gamblers during a routine patrolling and recovered stake money of rupees 3320 from the gambling spot.
The spokesman said police party of Police Station Nigeen during a routine patrolling has arrested 04 gamblers identified as Mehraj-u-Din Dhobi resident of Dhobi Mohalla Hazratbal, Bilal Ahmad Sodagar, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat and Naseer Ahmad Dhobi residents of Dhobighat Hazratbal near Hazratbal. Besides, stake money of rupees 3,320 and playing cards were also recovered from the spot.
In this regard, a case FIR number 164/2017 under section 13 Gambling Act was registered and an investigation was taken up.
