Residents of north Kashmir’s Mohra Lagama of  Uri area  Saturday took to Srinagar Muzaffarabad highway  to protest against Municipal Corporation for dumping the garbage “illegally” into a gorge in a residential area.

Locals said that they are protesting started the move of the municipal corporation and nobody from the administration has reached to them yet.

Meanwhile, reports from central Kashmir’s Waniarm Wangath area of Kangan said that four residential houses and a cowshed was damaged due to a landslide.

“Rehmat Shah Pakhtoon, Mohmmad Ayoub Bhat, Lateef Bhat, AB Satar Paswal and Mohmmad Qasim Paswal have lost their movable and immovable properties including their houses, a cowshed, goats, four horses, and several sheep.” Officials said.

“Nine families living nearby have been shifted to safer places, however, there is no report of loss of life or injuries in the incident,” officials added.
