SRINAGAR: Four persons were injured after a Xylo vehicle carrying a dead body met with an accident near Sinthan Top in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday, officials said.
Quoting officials, news agency GNS reported that the accident occurred around 2–3 kilometres below Sinthan Top, within the jurisdiction of Police Station Larnoo.
The Xylo, bearing registration number JK03G-7299, was travelling from SKIMS Soura towards Kishtwar while carrying a dead body when the driver reportedly lost control, causing the vehicle to skid off the road.
Five persons were on board the vehicle, four of whom sustained injuries and were shifted to a hospital for treatment, officials said.
A police team, along with an ambulance, was immediately rushed from Larnoo to the accident site. The injured were evacuated for medical treatment, officials added.
