Omar Abdullah Takes Early-Morning Tour of Srinagar, Reviews Key Projects

   

SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday undertook an early-morning tour of Srinagar city, inspecting key development projects and reviewing infrastructure aimed at improving public services and urban mobility in the historic Shehar-e-Khaas.

The Chief Minister was accompanied during the city tour by Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary, Health and Medical Education Minister Sakina Itoo, Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani, several MLAs and senior officers from various departments

During the tour, the Chief Minister inspected the newly constructed building of the Urban Primary Health Centre at Maharaj Gunj and reviewed the upgraded facilities.

Omar Abdullah said the facility combines modern healthcare infrastructure with the area’s rich historical character and would strengthen patient care and healthcare delivery in the heart of Shehar-e-Khaas.

The Chief Minister also inspected the site of a proposed bridge at Barbar Shah. He said the bridge, once completed, would help reduce traffic congestion for commuters travelling towards Shehar-e-Khaas and ensure smoother movement and improved urban mobility.

The visit was part of the Chief Minister’s review of ongoing and proposed infrastructure projects in Srinagar.
