SRINAGAR: Four people were killed and eight others injured early Tuesday when a tempo skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge in Reasi district, officials said.
A police official said that the vehicle, travelling from Jammu to Bagankote, veered off the road, apparently after the driver lost control. Four passengers died on the spot, while eight others sustained injuries.
Local volunteers, police, and rescue teams rushed the injured to the hospital. However, the official said the condition of the injured was not immediately known. (GNS)
