SRINAGAR: Four shops were damaged in a massive fire incident in Kadalbal Mode in Pampore area in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.
An official said that a massive fire broke out from a shop at around 12:00 am on Monday and it spread quickly to the adjoining shops and damaged property worth lacs.
He said the fire was brought under control by fire tenders and locals.
The shops damaged in fire belonged to Showkat Raja (crockery), Bilal Ahmad Rather (Hardware), Ishtiaq Ahmad Rather (Photo Lab) and Manzoor Ahmad Mir (wholesale kiryana), he added.
However, there were no casualties and the cause of the fire is being investigated, said an official.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigations are going on.
