SRINAGAR: At least five people, including four women, sustained injuries in a road accident in the Mendhar area of Poonch district on Saturday.
An official said that the accident occurred at Sangala Chowk, where a vehicle lost control, resulting in injuries to five individuals.
The injured have been identified as Shugufta Parveen, Safeera Begum, Jamshed Begum, Muktoom Akhter, and Mohammad Basharat.
The official further stated that three of the victims sustained critical injuries and were subsequently shifted to GMC Rajouri for specialised treatment.
Meanwhile, the police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident. (JKNS)
