The Srinagar Jammu highway has been suspended for one way traffic following the overnight landslides in Magarkote, Ramsu area of Srinagar Jammu highway on Saturday.
There were fresh landslides at Magarkote, Ramsu, on Srinagar-Jammu highway due to which the traffic movement was suspended for some time, “we have cleared the road now and soon the traffic will be plying from both the sides till 6:00 pm,” an official from the traffic department said.
He said initially, only one-way traffic was allowed in the area where landslides had occurred.
The official added that light Motor Vehicle (LMV) traffic has been allowed from both sides with some restrictions while Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMV) will continue to ply one-way only.
