SRINAGAR: A patient from Faridabad in the Delhi-NCR region travelled to Srinagar for a complex reconstructive urological procedure at Noora Hospital, the hospital spokesman said.
The patient underwent bladder neck reconstruction with ureteric reimplantation, a technically demanding procedure performed by Dr Yasir Iqbal Lone, Consultant Urologist at Noora Hospital, according to the spokesman.
The procedure was completed successfully and the patient had a smooth postoperative recovery before being discharged on the second postoperative day in a stable condition, the spokesman said.
The hospital said the patient and his family chose to travel from Faridabad to Srinagar after placing their confidence in Dr Yasir Lone’s expertise in complex reconstructive urology.
The patient, according to the hospital spokesman, expressed satisfaction with the treatment and said his trust in Dr Yasir Lone was a key reason for travelling to Srinagar for the surgery.
The spokesman said the case demonstrated the availability of specialised urological surgical expertise in Kashmir and the range of complex procedures being performed locally.
Dr Yasir Lone said complex reconstructive urology requires careful preoperative planning, precise surgical technique and coordinated postoperative management. He also acknowledged the role of the anaesthesia, nursing and support teams at Noora Hospital in ensuring a smooth perioperative course.
According to the hospital spokesman, the case marks a significant development for Noora Hospital’s specialised surgical services and reflects its efforts to strengthen advanced urological care in the region.
The spokesman also said the patient’s decision to travel from Faridabad to Srinagar reflected growing confidence among patients from outside Jammu and Kashmir in accessing specialised healthcare services in the Valley.
