Amongst thousands of candidates nationwide, Danish emerged as one of the top 60, representing India alongside two others. His ticket to this prestigious program was earned through his ingenious creation: a versatile, multipurpose stove, which he showcased at the esteemed National Level Exhibition and Project Competition (NLEPC). This project has garnered widespread recognition and commendation.

Danish Javid Bhat, the youngest of three siblings and a student at Government Boys High School, credits his inspiration for the model stove to his surroundings. “The traditional Chimney and the stove which we locally use here in Kashmir contributes to air pollution. This gave me the idea to embark on my innovative journey of creating a multipurpose stove.”

Collaborating with his mentor, Abbas, Danish meticulously developed and refined his model. “In my research Abbas sir accompanied me to various places to work on the model,” said Danish.

Danish envisions a bright future for himself and encourages others to embrace hard work to nurture their innate talents.

“Everyone should work hard rather than indulge in futile activities. Channelise your inner talent and skills in a positive direction. Make a name for yourself, and make your parents, teachers, and your state proud. Most importantly make yourself proud.”

While financial constraints posed a significant challenge, Danish’s indomitable spirit prevailed. His father, a hardworking tractor driver, often struggled to make ends meet for their family, including Danish’s elder brothers. However, the government’s provision of funds alleviated Danish’s financial burden, clearing the path for his success.

“Danish had his own financial struggles but his parents especially his father has been very supportive of his journey, which is why Danish has been able to achieve whatever he is, I am very grateful to his father for all the support and encouragement,” said Abbas Ahmed Gojree, who is a science teacher at Government Upper Primary School, Machipora.

Abbas further said that Danish has been very bright since the first day he met him, “Danish has made it this far because he is very bright, his ideas are very innovative. He was highly curious about science, and I noticed that. And then he came up with the model of a multipurpose Stove. I helped him in executing the idea and the rest is history,” Abbas added.

Recognising Danish’s immense potential, Abbas Ahmed Gojree shares a heartfelt appreciation for Danish’s father, whose unwavering support played a vital role in his remarkable journey. Witnessing Danish’s ingenuity first-hand, he witnessed the birth of the multipurpose stove concept. Together, they transformed the idea into a reality, etching their names in the annals of history.

Abbas, having nurtured Danish’s academic growth during their time together at middle school, always recognised the spark within him, the flame of potential destined to ignite extraordinary achievements.
