Peoples Democratic Party Youth Wing today organized “youth convention” an open day for youth in Beerwah constituency of Kashmir.

A large gathering from different areas of the constituency attended the convention. The students also attended the convention that was provided with information by the counsellor’s regarding various self-employment schemes. Unemployed youth of constituency were informed regarding the pattern of government schemes and opportunities available with entrepreneurship.

“Today I came here in order to get the information about the government schemes for youth and after hearing, I am planning to open my own endeavour,” says Aarif Bashir, who hails from Beerwah.

Speaking on the occasion, PDP’s Youth President Waheed Ur Rehman Para said government is on toes to restore peace and dignity of Kashmiri youth. He asked youth to be self-employed rather than unemployed.

Former MLA Beerwah encouraged youth to avail the opportunities available with government and stressed on self-employment.

“We are living in a highly globalized world. It is a period of time when all the countries of the world are economically, technologically, informational, politically, socially and culturally interrelated.

Among these aspects youth plays a very important describable phenomenon.”

Speaking to journalists on sideline of the convention, Para said, “We were not expecting huge rush of youth who came here today. We hope that in future we will conduct such conventions in other constituencies too, so that more unemployed youth gets a chance to have his/her own endeavour.”
