SRINAGAR: A fuel-laden tanker bound for Srinagar overturned near Sangoor Chowk on the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) late Thursday night, triggering a response from police, traffic personnel and emergency services after fuel began leaking from the vehicle.
According to preliminary information, the driver reportedly lost control of the tanker, causing it to skid off the road and turn turtle along the roadside.
Police, Traffic Police, Fire and Emergency Services personnel, along with National Highway-44 staff, rushed to the scene after receiving information about the incident and launched a rescue operation.
