SRINAGAR: Merck research grant programme in Germany is open to scientists in all career stages who are affiliated with any research-based institution, university, or company. The last date for the submission of the application form is August 31st, 2023.
Merck aims to support outstanding research students across the globe in pursuing innovative research projects that have potential to make a significant impact in the future. Applicants must hold a master’s degree from any acknowledged university with an English proficiency certificate as a part of the application process.
In the year 2023, the grant is available in areas such as green hydrogen production, for example, innovative electrolysis technologies, and system and industrial integration of hydrogen technologies for example, storage, distribution, and application areas of fuel cell development.
The successful candidates will receive funding ranging from 100,000 EUR (90 lakh 38 thousand INR) to 500,000 EUR (Four crore fifty one lakh, nineteen thousand) per year for three years.
The selected candidates for further consideration will receive an invitation to provide a detailed proposal outlining their research project. After submitting the full proposals, successful candidates may be required to attend a deep-dive workshop with other finalists. This workshop aims to provide further insights into their research and foster collaboration among researchers.
