As a part of activities related to culture, art, drama, music being projected as heritage of the State, a scintillating function was held at Convocation Complex of Kashmir University Saturday tilled “Funtoosh-Jashen-i-
Minister for Tourism, Ghulam Ahmad Mir was the Chief Guest on the occasion, while Vice Chancellor, Kashmir University and Deputy Director General Radio Kashmir attended the function as guests of honour. Besides the function was attended by Joint Director Information, Kashmir, SP Traffic, faculty members of University, parents, prominent citizens and large number of students.
The artists enthralled the audience by their performances through musical items, skits, mimicry and other forms of art and culture. The dignitaries present in the function expressed their satisfaction over the performance by various artists of the State and hoped that such programmes will be held at different places of the State and outside to propagate the message of love and brotherhood among masses.
The Minister appreciated the programmes presented in the event and made announcement of cash award for the heritage item performed on the occasion.
