A woman missing from Gund forest area of Ganderbal district since Wednesday morning was found dead, a police official said.
He said that 35-year-old Gulshana Bano, wife of Shabir Ahmad Ahangar, a resident of Haknar in Gund teshil of Ganderbal had gone to a nearby forest on Wednesday morning to collect firewood but did not return home.
“We along with the family members and the local residents started a search operation and found her body from power canal at Fraw Gund,” the police official said.
