Srinagar

National Investigation Agency (NIA) Thursday morning conducted raid on the house of son of “united jihad council” chief Syed Salahudin, Shahid Yousuf, in Soibugh village of central Kashmir’s Budgam district, sources said.

“The NIA team raided at about 4:30 am and left at about 7 am,” reports quoting family sources said.

They added that the NIA sleuths took some phones and a laptop along.

Shahid was arrested by the probe agency on Oct 24 in Delhi when he had gone to produce himself before NIA.

The agency is probing at least two cases of alleged terror funding in Kashmir.

It has arrested eleven persons so far from Kashmir including seven pro-freedom leaders, a businessman and two youth including a photojournalist.
