SRINAGAR: A husband and wife sustained burn injuries after a cooking gas leak triggered a fire at their residence in the Bogam area of Kulgam district on Saturday.
The injured were initially admitted to District Hospital Kulgam and later referred to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar, for specialised treatment.
They have been identified as Abdul Rahman Ganaie (45), son of Abdul Gani, and his wife, Masooda (40), both residents of Bogam, Kulgam.
Hospital sources said both patients were admitted to SMHS Hospital with burn injuries and are in a stable condition.
Officials said the incident is believed to have been caused by a leakage of cooking gas inside the house. (KNT)
