The delegation, led by retired IAS officer Khurshid Ahmad Ganai, flagged the need for strengthening district healthcare, reducing avoidable referrals to tertiary hospitals, and improving cancer care services.

In the agriculture sector, the delegation sought increased investment, promotion of vertical farming, and measures to prevent the conversion of agricultural land for non-agricultural use.

On education, the delegation called for improved teacher training, inclusion of STEM and AI-related subjects, and promotion of Urdu teaching in specific regions.

The delegation also raised issues related to support for startups, expansion of vocational training, MSME-linked employment generation, and decongestion of Srinagar’s roads.

The Chief Minister assured the delegation that the concerns would be taken up for appropriate action.
